Advisory Councils

Building a better health system with the voice of our community

Please be advised the final day of operations for AHS Health Advisory Councils (HACs) is Friday, June 28, 2024.

Over the last 15 years more than 800 people volunteered their time as members of our 12 HACs. They attended Council meetings and events, connected with their communities, sat on various subcommittees and lent their perspective to countless AHS initiatives.

AHS thanks all Advisory Council members for their dedication through the years. Their input was invaluable and helped to shape health services in Alberta. Their commitment to their Councils, their communities and to AHS is genuinely appreciated.

AHS remains committed to meaningful and authentic community engagement with Albertans. Engagement aligns with our culture of caring and listening, which results in more patient-centred care, local decision making and more open and trusting relationships. Visit AHS’ Together4Health website to stay connected to AHS engagement, or contact community.engagement@ahs.ca.
