Remember to bring your child’s Alberta Healthcare card and a piece of photo ID.
Our clinic is located on the main floor of the Clinical Sciences Building, Room 1-170, 8440-112 Street, which is accessible from inside the Stollery Children’s Hospital, Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute (Maz) and University of Alberta Hospital.
From the East Parkade, take the 2nd floor pedway into the Maz and take the elevators on your right to the main floor. Walk past the statues in the lobby; the entrance to the Clinical Sciences Building will be on the right hand side of the Maz main entrance.
From the Stollery main entrance on 114th street, take the elevators to the second floor. When you get off, turn right and head down the narrow hallways with signage leading to towards the Clinical Sciences Building and the Maz. Once you pass the dentistry clinic, turn left and walk down a long hallway until you are inside the Maz. Pass the administration desk and head towards the elevators. Take the elevator to the main floor and walk past the statues in the lobby; the entrance to the Clinical Sciences Building will be on the right hand side of the Maz main entrance.
Your first appointment may last up to an hour, so please come prepared. During this time you and your child may see several different professionals including a medical resident or fellow, nurse practitioner and/or a neurosurgeon.
During the appointment we will review your child's complete history and answer any questions you have about your child's medical condition. Treatment options will also be discussed.
If a custom remolding helmet is required, the costs involved will be discussed during your initial appointment at the Headshape Clinic.
The Stollery Children’s Hospital is a teaching hospital. Please be aware that we often have learners in our clinic so you may also see medical residents and health care students as members of your child’s health care team.
