Social Work support is available seven days a week in most of the intensive care areas. To ensure families are receiving optimal support, some areas of the Stollery have automatic referrals to Social Work. Referrals may also come through other staff members or community agencies.

Tell your child’s doctor, nurse or another staff member that you would like to talk with a social worker. They will contact the social worker assigned to your child’s health care team on your behalf, or provide you with a direct contact name and number.
