For Your Appointment

Remember to bring your Alberta Health Care card and a piece of photo ID. 

Parking at the site is limited; plan to give yourself enough time to arrive at your appointment.

There is a cost for parking, refer to the parking map for rates.

Finding Us

The CIC is located at Foothills Medical Centre in the Health Sciences Centre (HSC), in Area 6A of the UCMC Clinics.

Parking in North Lot 6: walk across the pedestrian bridge to enter the HSC building on the First Floor. Follow the overhead signs to UCMC Clinics, Area 6A.

Drop off at HSC North doors (entry at street level): take the elevator or stairs to the First Floor. Follow overhead signs to UCMC Clinics, Area 6A.

Parking in Main Lot 1 or drop-off at Foothills Hospital main doors: follow the way-finding signs to the HSC building, to UCMC Clinics, Area 6A.

Parking in West Lot 10 or drop-off at McCaig Tower: take elevators or stairs to the Main Floor. Follow way-finding signs to the HSC building, to UCMC Clinics, Area 6A.

What to Expect

When you arrive at UCMC Clinics Area 6A, you will need to check in the with desk clerk.

When it is time for your appointment, a nurse will greet you and bring you to a clinic room. You will have your blood pressure taken and you will be asked to review your current medications.

You will be seen by your specialist or a nurse practitioner, and other members of the healthcare team including a Pharmacist and a Social Worker.

Clinic appointments can last between 30-60 minutes so please plan your visit, including enough time for parking, as needed.
