Finding Us

The Subcutaneous Immunoglobulin (SCIg) Home Infusion Program is located at Foothills Medical Centre in the South Tower: 7th floor, Suite #705.

The South Tower is located on Hospital Drive NW, behind the Special Services Building (SSB). The South Tower can be accessed directly from Hospital Drive, as well as from the SSB Basement level (short walk across Hospital Drive), or from the SSB Sub-Basement level (short walk through the underground tunnel).

Entry to the South Tower occurs on the 4th and 5th floors (from street level) and on the 3rd floor (from the SSB underground tunnel).

What to Expect

Patients usually require at least 2 in-person training sessions to learn SCIg self-infusion. Most training occurs at the South Tower office and up to 3 hours of time is planned per session.

Patients are welcome to bring an ‘infusion partner’ (such as a family member, friend, etc.) with them to their training sessions.

Patients will do self-infusion at each of their training sessions. It is recommended to wear comfortable and loose clothing that can allow access to the abdomen or thighs. Patients should eat meals and drink fluids as they normally would and they are welcome to bring water or snacks to their sessions, if preferred.
