Precautionary air quality advisory lifted for The Valley-area of Hinton

HINTON – Alberta Health Services has lifted the precautionary air quality advisory issued June 24, 2014, for The Valley-area of Hinton.

Monitoring indicates air quality in The Valley-area of Hinton is no longer being impacted by the unusually dusty conditions caused by traffic on Willow Creek Road.

As weather patterns change over the next several days, the air quality may fluctuate and area residents are encouraged to routinely monitor air quality conditions. Information about the air quality in many areas of the North Zone is updated hourly on the Alberta Environment Air Quality Website: Air quality information is also available by phone, toll-free, at 1-877-247-7333.

Residents with health concerns can contact Health Link Alberta to speak to a registered nurse 24 hours a day, seven days a week, toll-free at 1-866-408-LINK (5465).
