Listening to You

AHS leadership joined Health Minister Jason Copping during a Health Engagement Tour in south, central and north zones in June and July. In each community, events invited internal and community stakeholders to discuss three questions:

  1. What is the healthcare system doing well?
  2. What are the current challenges within the healthcare system?
  3. What opportunities exist to address challenges?

Review the “What We Heard” reports from the communities visited in June and July linked below. And watch for your invite when the Minister's Health Tour comes to a community near you this fall.

Advisory Councils

AHS is committed to meaningful and authentic community engagement with Albertans. One of the best channels to connect with us is through our Advisory Councils. Councils help patients and families contribute to healthcare solutions and the betterment of our system.

Twelve Health Advisory Councils provide a grassroots perspective and an understanding of their communities' health needs. Find your Health Advisory Council on this map.

AHS' Wisdom Council provides guidance and recommendations to ensure AHS develops and implements culturally appropriate and innovative health service delivery for Indigenous Peoples.

AHS' four Provincial Advisory Councils advise on province-wide health programs. Councils include public members who represent all Zones, healthcare professionals and stakeholders in their areas of focus.

Together4Health

Together4Health, AHS' online engagement platform, invites Albertans to have their say on various healthcare topics. Join our online community to keep up to date on current and future projects.

Together4Health Headlines is an e-newsletter designed to keep you informed of decisions being made to protect and support Albertans, key public health information, and opportunities for you to connect with AHS.
