Remember to bring your Alberta Healthcare card and a piece of photo ID. If you don't your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
Hepatology Outpatient Clinic is located on the 7th floor outpatient services. Clinic Module is 7E. Take the outpatient elevators to the 7th floor, turn right and follow signage.
At the information desk, on the main floor, there are "wayfinders", people in red shirts to help you find your way. There are also electronic kiosks throughout the hospital that give directions.
Once you arrive at the clinic, check in at the front desk.
You may be in the clinic for up to one hour, so please come prepared.
When you see the hepatologist you will review your medical history and talk about the reason for your visit.
After the hepatologist examines you, you and the hepatologist will talk about the best treatment choices for you.
Treatment choices may include medication therapy, further laboratory investigations, endoscopic procedure or a referral to another healthcare provider such as social worker/dietitian.
You may return for your follow-up appointments.
