The Hospital Medicine Section is a community of front-line care providers, researchers, patient advisors, clinical leaders and others committed to evaluating health system performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and spreading and scaling innovations that ensure patient and family centred care, quality improvement, and care integration for the people of Alberta.
Working with practitioners and stakeholders, we use a patient-centred approach to improve outcomes, address unwarranted variation and advance health system improvements on a provincial scale. Our work spans the care continuum of hospitalization from pre-admission to post-discharge.
