WHA is dedicated to integrating women’s health across Provincial Health Agencies through a system-wide coordinated, integrated and collaborative approach to women’s health. This includes provincial strategic oversight to improve health outcomes and experiences for women in Alberta and collaboration with national and international initiatives in women’s health.
The scope of the WHA provincial program focuses on healthcare provided in acute care and how this intersects across the continuum of care and lifespan, in the areas of chronic conditions and cancers, gynecological surgical services, hormonal health, Indigenous health, mental health, prevention, reproductive health and sexual health.
