COVID-19 immunization clinic offered in Rocky Mountain House

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOUSE – Albertans born in 2009 or earlier who have not yet received their first or second COVID-19 vaccine are encouraged to visit the Rocky Mountain House COVID-19 immunization site, Bay C 5040 50 St. for drop-in and booked immunization appointments.

Sept. 8, 9 and 10 from 9 a.m. to noon, Moderna and Pfizer vaccinations will be offered.

After Sept 10, Monday to Friday until further notice from 9 a.m. to noon Pfizer vaccinations will be offered.

Albertans now have access to a new Government of Alberta immunization appointment booking tool, the Alberta Vaccine Booking System. This new tool gives users one point of access for all vaccination centres and pharmacies in the province. During the transition to the new tool, there will be two options for booking a COVID-19 immunization appointment online.

Albertans can book their first or second dose appointments on the Alberta Vaccine Booking System after September 7 as the AHS online booking tool will no longer be in use.

Albertans who don’t have access to the internet can still call Health Link at 811 to book appointments.

Youth born in 2009 or earlier will receive the Pfizer vaccine; Albertans born in 2003 or earlier will receive the Moderna vaccine. Albertans under the age of 18 years are requested to bring parental consent that can be downloaded from the AHS website https://www.albertahealthservices.ca/frm-21765.pdf.

Those attending the clinic are asked to bring their Alberta Health Care card if they have one, along with photo ID. Use of face masks and hand sanitizer is required when attending the site for immunization.

Please do your part in helping keep our community as safe as possible. All eligible Albertans are encouraged to protect themselves and others by being immunized as soon as possible.

If you are experiencing symptoms, stay home and arrange for COVID-19 testing through AHS.ca or by calling 811.
