Grande Prairie COVID-19 immunization clinic expands walk-in appointments

GRANDE PRAIRIE — Walk-in appointments at the Grande Prairie COVID-19 immunization clinic at the Montrose Cultural Centre, have been expanded to provide more options for immunization.

Adults aged 18 and older are now able to receive their first dose of Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, as well as their second dose when eligible, on a walk-in basis at the clinic.

For those adults who have already received a first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine, walk-in appointments are available for their second dose of either AstraZeneca or an mRNA vaccine. First doses of AstraZeneca are not available.

Youth born in 2004-2009 are eligible to receive first dose Pfizer vaccine, as well as second dose Pfizer vaccine when eligible, on a walk-in basis at the Grande Prairie clinic.

The clinic is located at the Montrose Cultural Centre, 9839 103 Ave., and is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week.
