RED DEER – Albertans born between 2004 to 2009 can receive their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine without an appointment at walk-in clinics in the following communities in Central Zone:

We encourage all Albertans born between 2004 to 2009 to protect themselves and others by being vaccinated as soon as possible. Please bring your Alberta Health Care card if you have one, along with photo ID. You will be required to wear a face mask and use hand sanitizer when visiting the site for your immunization.
While it is preferred verbal parental consent be provided in person at the immunization appointment, if a parent or guardian is unable to attend the appointment, youth need to bring a signed consent form which can be downloaded from the AHS website: Consent for COVID-19 Immunization (albertahealthservices.ca)
In circumstances where a minor does not have signed consent form but is deemed mature by the attending immunizer, parental consent may not be required.
Providing immunization for a mature minor and the assessment leading to this decision by the attending immunizer is done on a case by case basis.
