AHS public health offers drop-in adult immunization clinic

GRIMSHAW – Adults are encouraged to update their tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough) immunizations at a one-day, drop-in clinic organized by Alberta Health Services (AHS).

The clinic will be held April 26 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Public Health Centre at the Grimshaw/Berwyn Community Health Centre, 5621 Wilcox Rd.

Adults are recommended to have a tetanus and diphtheria immunization every 10 years, and a pertussis immunization once during adulthood.

Adult immunizations continue to be offered by appointment year-round at the Public Health Centre by calling 780-332-6505.
