Water quality advisory lifted for Zeiner Park Beach

EDMONTON – Effective immediately, Alberta Health Services (AHS) has lifted the water quality advisory that was issued August 2, 2024 for the water of Zeiner Park Beach in Pigeon Lake Provincial Park (located within the Edmonton Zone of AHS).

Fecal bacteria levels have returned to an acceptable level, however a cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) advisory remains in place for Pigeon Lake.

As always, visitors and residents are reminded to never drink or cook with untreated water directly from any lake or reservoir, at any time.
