Temporary closure of Picture Butte Ambulatory Clinic

July 3, 2024

PICTURE BUTTE – Due to a lack of physician coverage, the Piyami Health Centre ambulatory clinic will be temporarily closed tonight, July 3. The ambulatory clinic will re-open at 5 p.m. tomorrow, July 4.

The non-urgent walk-in clinic offers care to people who need to see a doctor but don’t need to be seen in the emergency department. Residents are reminded to call Health Link at 811, which is available 24/7 for non-emergency health-related questions. Ambulatory care is also available at the Coaldale Health Centre from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Patients seeking emergency care can also access the emergency departments at Taber Health Centre, Fort Macleod Health Centre or Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.

In the event of a medical emergency, please call 911.

AHS is working hard to ensure local residents continue to have access to the care they need during this time.

We are thankful for the support of primary care teams and healthcare centres in the surrounding communities and would like to thank the community for their patience and understanding during this time.
