Temporary pause to obstetrical services at Viking Health Centre

July 21, 2023

VIKING – The Viking Health Centre will be temporarily pausing obstetrical services from Saturday, July 22 at 7 a.m. to Monday, July 24 at 7 a.m.

Any obstetrical patients that present to the site during the service disruption will be assessed, then transported to an alternate site by RAAPID and EMS. Emergent deliveries will be managed by the Viking Health Centre Emergency Department.

This temporary pause is a result of staffing vacancies and an unexpected illness. Regular services will resume at 7 a.m. on Monday, July 24.

AHS is grateful for the support of surrounding healthcare centres and medical staff, and would like to thank the community for its patience and understanding during this time.
