COVID-19 assessment site to operate seven days a week in town of Banff

April 29, 2021

BANFF – Alberta Health Services (AHS) will expand operation of a temporary COVID-19 assessment site in the town of Banff starting Friday, April 29.

The temporary assessment and testing site, in the parking lot at the AHS Community Health Centre, 303 Lynx Street, Banff, is for those with COVID-19 symptoms or those who are close contacts of a confirmed COVID-19 case.

With an increase in COVID-19 cases, including the more contagious variant strains, local residents with symptoms and those who have been in close contact with a suspect or confirmed case are strongly encouraged to book a quick, free appointment.

The site will operate seven days a week. Appointment times vary throughout the week so that as many people as possible who require testing can schedule an appointment:

Hours of Operation:

The temporary pop-up testing facility can accommodate as many as 100 appointments each day.

This service is for booked appointments only. Appointments can be easily scheduled online on the AHS website at COVID-19 Testing / Online Booking or by calling 811.

Make sure you have your Alberta Health Card and photo ID ready. You will be required to wear a face mask and use hand sanitizer. There are no washroom facilities available on site for client use.

The temporary trailer-based testing facility is located in the west corner of the Banff Community Health Centre parking lot. Please park in the signed lot directly south of the Community Health Centre, and follow the signs to the testing trailer.

Please do your part in helping keep our community as safe as possible. It is vitally important for all of us to remain vigilant in the fight against COVID-19 and to follow public health guidelines at all times. This includes limiting contacts to your cohorts, avoiding indoor gatherings, maintaining physical distancing and masking.

If you are experiencing symptoms, stay home and arrange for COVID-19 testing through AHS.ca or by calling 811.
