AHS to upgrade online immunization booking tool

March 2, 2021

Service will be temporarily unavailable from 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. Wednesday

To continue to provide Albertans with efficient access to COVID-19 immunization appointments, AHS is upgrading the AHS online immunization booking tool. This upgrade will temporarily prevent access to the booking tool from 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. in the early morning hours of Wednesday, March 3rd.

The upgrade will improve the capacity of the AHS COVID-19 online immunization booking tool, and ensure Albertans continue to have access to a user-friendly, effective system to book their immunization appointments.

Booking immunization appointments through Health Link will also be affected by this upgrade.

Access to Health Link/811 to speak to a registered nurse for medical advice will be unaffected and will continue throughout this upgrade. Access to the AHS website, including access to book COVID-19 swabbing tests during this time, will also remain unaffected.

Albertans are encouraged to access the AHS COVID-19 online immunization booking tool before, or after these hours while the upgrade will be taking place.

As an alternate to booking through the AHS COVID-19 online immunization booking tool, seniors 75 plus can contact a participating pharmacy. Bookings will be handled directly by participating pharmacies which can be found on the Alberta Blue Cross website: https://www.ab.bluecross.ca/news/covid-19-immunization-program-information.php

Thank you to all the Alberta seniors, 75 years of age and over, who have booked to receive their COVID-19 immunization. This is a huge step for AHS and for Albertans as we work to ensure our populations most at risk of severe outcomes from COVID-19 are protected.
