Online Learning Module

This online learning module was developed with public health professionals in mind, but is also relevant for all Alberta Health Services (AHS) staff, and other community workers who have an opportunity to impact the lives of Albertans as they age.

The purpose of the module is to understand the importance of older adult falls prevention and be aware of upstream actions and strategies that can be used to address falls. The module provides comprehensive health promotion and falls prevention strategies to address falls in older adults and the broader population.

The module takes approximately between 30 minutes to complete.

For Alberta Health Services (AHS) staff, the ‘Upstream Approach to Falls Prevention in Older Adults’ Online Learning Module is offered through My Learning Link. If AHS staff continue here, a certificate will not be provided.
