In addition, the Coronation Dam campsite is just 35 minutes away and a popular weekend destination.
This peaceful prairie community is all about country living. Key industries here are farming and ranching, as well as the oil and gas sector. Like its neighbor, Coronation, Consort owes its existence to the Canadian railroad, one of the many communities that sprang up as the railroad forged its way westward. Consort has plenty of parks and trails nearby to enjoy your favorite outdoor activity, while the Consort Sportex provides space for hockey, family skating, swimming lessons, and more. The Gem Centre is used for various meetings and events, including game and entertainment evenings. Local service clubs include the Consort Lions, Consort Oilmens, ECHS, Consort Pool Association, 4H Clubs, Ag Society, Senior Dance Club and YAK.

Alberta Health Services operates two facilities in Consort.
The Consort Hospital and Care Centre provides a range of services from diagnosis through active care and recovery from illness and injury. Services include an emergency department, laboratory and x-ray services, cardiac monitoring, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech language pathology. In addition to acute care, there are also community support and continuing care beds.
Residents can find additional health supports, educational programs, and services at the Consort Community Health Centre. This includes immunization for infants, children, and adults, public health programming, particularly postpartum and parent and child services, outpatient physiotherapy, senior’s services, and home care. Addiction and Mental Health services and resources for adults, youth, and children can also be accessed here.
