COVID-19 swabbing and immunization moving back under one roof in Red Deer

November 24, 2021

Larger location more easily accessible

RED DEER — COVID-19 immunization services will be relocating in Red Deer at the end of the month.

COVID-19 immunization will be moving to 1780 49 Ave. on November 30. This follows the move of COVID-19 swabbing services to this location in October.

The new location provides sufficient space to accommodate the current demand for both services, with the ability to expand, and offer increased capacity, if needed. Both operations will continue to be provided in line with all applicable public health measures.

Health Link and the Alberta Vaccine Booking System will be updated to reflect the changes. Booking for pediatric immunization at the new location will open at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24. Residents booked for immunizations starting December 1 will be notified of the new location for their appointment by SMS and email reminders.

Please note COVID-19 swabbing remains available by appointment only. COVID immunization walk-ins for those 12 and older are accommodated when possible. To book an appointment visit ahs.ca/covid or https://bookvaccine.alberta.ca/vaccine/s/

We continue to ask that all individuals wait in their cars until 5 minutes before their appointment time, and not to arrive more than 10 minutes early.
