Media Statement: Alberta Health Services and Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL): Request for Expression of Interest (RFEOI) for Community Lab Services

Alberta Health Services (AHS), in partnership with Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) today issued a Request for Expression of Interest (RFEOI) that will seek to gauge market interest from private third parties for the provision of community lab services in Alberta.

AHS and APL are accountable for delivering high-quality laboratory medicine services to Albertans. Coupled with this accountability is the responsibility to maintain a health system that is sustainable, efficient and fiscally responsible. Innovation is essential to AHS’ and APL’s ability to continue to deliver the highest quality healthcare to all Albertans, now and in the future. This includes exploring new service delivery models and seeking new potential partners.
