Results are in from the 2014 AHS Workforce Engagement Survey and show an overall engagement score of 53 per cent which is on par with 2012 results. Thank you to all the volunteers who participated in the survey – participation by volunteers increased by seven per cent from 11 per cent in 2012 to 18 per cent in 2014.
The score means 53 per cent of survey participants responded affirmatively to a series of six statements, such as “AHS inspires me to do my best work” and “I would recommend AHS to a friend as a great place to work.” Almost 36,000 responses were collected, representing 31 per cent of the total AHS workforce.
Your thoughtful feedback informed us that engagement remains high for volunteers and that nine in 10 volunteers consider themselves happier and healthier because they volunteer as well as eight in 10 volunteers remain satisfied with the communication they receive.
We also heard we need to improve on providing volunteers with better feedback. Moving forward, we will be reaching out to volunteers to participate in focus groups to help us better understand the Workforce Engagement Survey results and themes will be integrated into the AHS People Strategy. If you have questions about the survey results or focus groups, please contact Volunteer Resources or firstname.lastname@example.org.
