Influenza immunization offered in Rocky Mountain House

December 1, 2021

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOUSE — Children under five and their immediate family or household members can get immunized against influenza at the Rocky Mountain House Health Centre, 5016 52 Ave. next week.

Appointments can be made for Dec. 10 and 17 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. through Alberta’s Vaccine Booking System. Walk-ins may also be accommodated, depending on appointment volumes.

Getting immunized is the single most effective means of arming yourself, your children and your loved ones, against influenza. We encourage all Albertans to get immunized against influenza and to encourage seniors and at-risk Albertans in your lives to get immunized too.

By keeping the number of influenza cases and outbreaks low, we can help protect at-risk Albertans and reduce the pressure on our healthcare system as we continue to respond to COVID-19.

We also encourage Albertans to follow all current provincial public health measures to stop the spread of COVID-19 and protect the healthcare system.

These measures help prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses too, and include: staying home when sick; wearing a mask indoors; practicing physical distance; practicing hand hygiene; and practicing good respiratory etiquette. For more on COVID-19, visit ahs.ca/covid.
