COVID-19 testing returning to Vegreville

October 22, 2021

VEGREVILLE - To increase accessibility to COVID-19 testing for symptomatic individuals, and in response to increased demand, a mobile COVID-19 assessment centre is coming to the town of Vegreville. The testing site is a partnership between Alberta Health Services (AHS) and the town of Vegreville, who have provided the testing location.

Beginning Monday, October 25, COVID-19 testing will be performed by contracted service provider ACESO Medical, two days per week. AHS will monitor appointment volumes and add additional availability, if needed.

COVID-19 testing is offered to eligible Albertans by appointment only. If you are symptomatic, a close contact of a confirmed case of COVID-19, or have been linked to a confirmed outbreak of COVID-19, please visit ahs.ca/covid to complete the self-assessment and book your testing appointment. All locations available to you, including any of the new mobile assessment centres, will be displayed in the online booking tool. If you do not have Internet access, you can call 811 and Health Link staff will book a test appointment for you.

Alberta Health Services is the provincial health authority responsible for planning and delivering health supports and services for more than four million adults and children living in Alberta. Its mission is to provide a patient-focused, quality health system that is accessible and sustainable for all Albertans.
