COVID-19 immunization available to all Bow Valley residents, 18 years and older

May 6, 2021

BANFF – All residents of the Bow Valley, age 18 and older, are now eligible for COVID-19 immunization.

The Government of Alberta has deployed additional vaccine supply to support the town of Banff and surrounding area. This immunization initiative is meant for residents living in the Bow Valley, including the communities of Banff, Lake Louise, Canmore and surrounding areas.

With an increase in COVID-19 cases, including the more contagious variant strains, local residents are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated for their own protection, and to protect their families and communities.

Appointments must be booked. Until May 10, if you are 18 to 29 years of age, call Health Link at 811 to book your immunization appointment. If you are 30 years of age or older, you can book an appointment online now at COVID-19 Testing / Online Booking or by calling 811.

On May 10, immunization eligibility will expand to include Albertans age 12 to 29. At that time, appointments for this age group can be booked online or by calling 811, or at any participating pharmacy.

Make sure you have your Alberta Health Card and photo ID ready. You will be required to wear a face mask and use hand sanitizer when attending the site for your immunization.
