Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory Therapy provides assessment, support, treatment, and education for adults with cardio-respiratory illnesses.

Respiratory Therapists participate as a member of the multi disciplinary health care team in both acute and critical care environments assisting in the assessment and treatment of cardio-respiratory disease and related conditions. Respiratory Therapists manage life support equipment such as ventilators, check lung and heart function, using specialized tests and equipment and provide patient education.
