Provides artificial limb(s) to replace a partial or fully missing extremity.

All prostheses are custom-designed and fit to meet the functional needs and / or goals of the client.

Eligibility

Clients, of any age, must:

  • be medically stable
  • have low or absent limb sensitivity/pain
  • have minimal or reversible joint contractures
  • be able to learn and understand how to use a prosthetic device
  • be motivated to use a prosthetic device
Referral Needed

Physician prescription required for each device.

Service Access

Healthcare providers should consult the Alberta Referral Directory for service referral information.

Private and/or external vendors are available. Call for a list of vendors.


Wait Times

An estimated wait time will be provided at the time of appointment booking.

Fees

Devices are third party funded, cost-shared or self-pay.
