Mental Health Evening Treatment Program

Provides an intensive, 18 week outpatient program with psychodynamic group therapy for adults with mental health concerns.

The program takes place in the evening and requires the patient to be involved in a work or volunteer setting during the program. Services include: group therapy, family interviews, psychiatric care with medication management, exercise, relaxation, and recreation groups as well as follow-up after the program. Clients are expected to attend the program every day.

Eligibility
  • adult services
  • youth (17 years) may be considered
  • seniors whose needs do not require geriatric psychiatry consultation or services
  • individuals with conditions including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, loss, and problems with coping and functioning in relationships. Those with a history of violence or psychosis, abusing alcohol or drugs or who are actively suicidal would need further screening for program suitability. This program is not suitable for patients with schizophrenia.
