Children must be patients or siblings of a patient of the Alberta Children's Hospital, Alberta Children's Hospital clinics or Rotary Flames House (RFH). Parents / guardians must remain on site while their child is at EBY. The service is intended to allow parents / guardians to meet with a health care provider, attend an appointment on site, or have a visit with their child at bedside without needing to have other children present.

There are times when EBY is fully booked; therefore reservations are recommended. Drop ins are welcome, provided space and staffing are available. Safety is EBY's foremost consideration. Children must be free of the following symptoms: rash, cough, fever, runny nose, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.

To ensure space is available, it is recommended that parents call or email to pre-register their child. Children may be pre-registered up to two weeks in advance.
