Pediatric Orthotic Services

A service for children to provide external devices, such as braces, to align, protect, improve body function, mobility and quality of life. Orthoses are custom and fit to meet the functional needs and goals of the child and family.

This service:

  • offers design, fabrication, and fitting of all types of orthotic devices
  • is an Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) vendor for orthotic devices

Fees

Fees for most orthotic devices are covered on a cost-shared basis through AADL (Alberta Aids to Daily Living) or other qualifying programs such as NIHB.

Families can access Alberta Aids to Daily Living website directly at Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) | Alberta.ca. AADL Cost-Share applications can be found via Application for Cost-Share Exemption (gov.ab.ca) and Application for Temporary Cost-Share Exemption - AADL (gov.ab.ca).
