Stroke Prevention Clinic

 Location: South Health Campus

Provides early assessment, treatment, and education for adults who have had a transient ischemic attack or a minor stroke.

This service provides the following for adults who have had a transient ischemic attach (TIA) or a minor stroke:

  • fast assessment and treatment
  • referral to neurosurgery and interventional neuroradiology as needed
  • education relating to stroke, risk factors, and lifestyle
  • clinical care, research, and teaching in the area of cerebrovascular disease
  • TIA Rapid access clinic (TIARA)
