The Geriatric Assessment & Rehabilitation Inpatient Program on Unit 4C assesses and treats older adults with medical issues, helping them return to living in their community.

This service offers:

audiologists, dietitians, doctors, feeding and swallowing therapists, health care aides (HCAs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), occupational therapists (OTs), pharmacists, physical therapists (PTs), psychiatrists, psychologists, recreation therapists (RTs), registered nurses (RNs), speech language pathologists (SLPs)
Eligibility

The service is targeted to older adults who have experienced acute physical, cognitive and social decline, in the past two to three months.

Clients need to be :

  • Be able and willing to take part in active rehab (for example, be fit enough to do the activities)
  • Be medically stable and have a desire to return to their community.
