Respiratory Therapy - Community - Central Access and Triage

This central access referral service provides a single point of entry for patients with chronic lung disease, as well as perform diagnostic tests in the community such as arterial blood gases and spirometry.

This team provides:

  • group pulmonary rehab for patients with chronic lung disease (Breathe Easy program and Interstitial lung disease program)
  • one on one education related to chronic lung disease -smoking cessation group education and one on one appointments
  • respiratory assessments
  • spirometry
  • arterial blood gas testing
  • Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) walk tests
