Addiction and Mental Health - Short Term Outreach

Short Term Outreach (STO) team provides timely and brief support post (up to 6 sessions) crisis intervention with the Mobile Response Team (MRT) or the Police and Crisis Team (PACT) in the client's home, over the telephone, in the community, or an Alberta Health Services site. They offer goal-oriented interventions focused on helping the client build on their skills, resiliency, and strengths.

This service offers goal-oriented interventions focused on connecting clients with:

  • community supports
  • mental health education / psychoeducation
  • mental health system navigation
  • or assisting with practical needs

STO can help identify longer-term resources and provide bridging support as needed.
