Neuromodulation

Provides a specialized treatment typically for people living with depression and / or mood disorders where medication is not working or where they are too acute to wait for medication to have effect. The desired effect is the improvement in condition by applying physical and/or chemical stimulation.

This program offers a specialized treatment for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations with the goal of improving mood and personal function by applying physical and/or chemical stimulation. This is accomplished by inducing a seizure with physical stimulation to both inpatient and outpatient clients.

The typical presentation of clients for Neuromodulation would be clients who are treatment resistant or who are not able to wait for medications to take effect based on acuity of symptoms.

Although depression is a common presentation for treatment, we also treat those with other mental health concerns (schizophrenia, Mania, autism, etc).

Typically a series of 12 treatments over 4 weeks would be recommended. Maintenance therapy is also available after a series.
