Southern Alberta Reproductive Infectious Disease Clinic, The

The Repro ID Clinic provides targeted consultative outpatient assessment for reproductive infectious diseases across the life course.

Areas of focus include:

  • hepatitis: Viral Hepatitis during, after and while planning a pregnancy
  • perinatal Infections: Any infection that may affect pregnancy, the fetus or the newborn
  • vaccination Counseling: eg. history of adverse events following immunization AEFIs, vaccine hesitancy
  • antimicrobial stewardship: eg. penicilin de-labeling, history of penicilin allergy
  • chronic endometriosis

Care may include risk assessment in cases of systemic immunosuppression or co-morbidities, as well as preventative interventions before, during or after pregnancy and can be gynecological in nature. The ReproID Clinic complements existing infectious disease services like the Tropical Infectious Diseases and Calgary STI clinics or TB Services in order to streamline care.
