Respiratory Therapy - Outpatients / Community

Community Respiratory Therapy Outpatient services includes an array of respiratory diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

Services include:

  • home oxygen assessments
  • arterial blood gases (ABGs)
  • respiratory education (Asthma & COPD)
  • spirometry
  • tobacco cessation
  • artificial airway management
  • trach change
  • pulmonary rehabilitation

Physician Order Required for all but education, Tobacco Cessation.

Can be a physician order, or a respiratory Requisition form. Submitted via fax

Service Access

Healthcare providers should consult the Alberta Referral Directory for service referral information.

Self-referrals and referrals from other health care professionals or agencies are welcome.


Wait Times

An estimated wait time will be provided at the time of appointment booking.

Fees

There may be a charge for services or equipment that Alberta Healthcare doesn't cover.
