Community Accessible Rehabilitation (CAR) - Pre-Driving Assessment

Pre-driving assessments for clients who have a physical, cognitive or perceptual disability as a result of a neurological injury (i.e., stroke, brain injury).

The clinic offers assessment of psychomotor skills, visual perceptual ability, cognition, general awareness, and reaction speed to clients who have a disability as a result of a neurological injury. Based on the results of the assessment, recommendations regarding return to driving are made to Alberta Driver Fitness and Monitoring Branch. They will review the recommendations and make the final decision on the client's fitness to drive.
