Surgical Neuro-Oncology Clinic

Assesses and provides treatment options to people who are referred to see a neurosurgeon, for tumor conditions affecting the brain.

Services are offered to people who have been referred, by their doctor, to see a neurosurgeon. The neurosurgery team assesses and decide if surgery is needed, for neoplasms originating in the brain / spinal cord. Some examples may include:

  • astrocytoma
  • glioma
  • glioblastoma multiforme
  • ependymoma
  • pontine glioma
  • brain stem tumors

Follow up is also provided to patients, once their treatment is complete.
