Pediatric Clinical Investigation Unit

Provides diagnostic and clinical research services for pediatric patients.

Offers diagnostic and clinical research services, including:

  • assisting with and performing tests and procedures
  • starting IV (intravenous) and collecting blood and other specimens
  • giving medications
  • providing laboratory, pharmacy, and imaging services
  • assisting with clinical research protocols and procedures
  • providing access to all hospital emergency services (e.g. Pediatric Rapid Response and Code Teams)
  • holding clinical trials with the Northern Alberta Clinical Trials and Research Center (support services include Clinical Trials Laboratory and pharmacy services)
