Parent Consultation Clinic - Mental Health

Offers mental health assessment and consultation for parents of children being actively treated in a Child & Adolescent Addiction & Mental Health Psychiatry Program.

Services offered may include:

  • comprehensive assessment to clarify diagnoses
  • medication review, trial and/or recommendations to stabilize symptoms
  • education to empower parents to learn how to improve their mental health and help their child within the family context
  • collaboration with referring CAAMHPP therapists to inform treatment of the child
  • connections / recommendations of adult mental health services within AHS or outside of AHS

Eligibility

For parents of a child being actively treated in a Child Adolescent Addiction Mental Health and Psychiatry Program.

Wait Times

An estimated wait time will be provided at the time of appointment booking.

Fees

Psychiatrist may charge client for missed appointments. Clients charged for missed appointments may make payments to pay the total in smaller increments.
