Adult Day Program

 Location: Kerby Centre

Adult Day Program (ADP) ADP provides socialization, recreation activities and exercise programs for home care clients and provides respite to family caregivers of adults 18+ who are medically stable. Offers wellness, dementia and specialized complex care programming for adults in Calgary Zone.

Provides up to 6 hours of wellness program. The program offers:

  • activities, recreation, and exercises
  • blood pressure and weight monitoring
  • help with medication
  • basic personal care
  • rest breaks
  • meals and snacks

Accessibility

Accessible entrance through centre doors and use elevator. Accessible parking in lot east of building.


Elevator has hold switch to aid when unloading wheelchairs. Elevator buttons have Braille descriptors. A wheelchair lift connects the basement level to the gym.

Must be a Home Care client over the age of 18.

Referral Needed

A referral from a Home Care Case Manager is needed.

Wait Times

Wait time depends on how urgent the referral is.

Fees

May be a charge for a meal and snack. Client is responsible for transportation arrangements and costs.

May be eligible for cost share based on annual income.
