Central and Northern Alberta Adult Peripheral Nerve Clinic

Provides treatment for adults who have a peripheral nerve injury.

Sees people with nerve injuries that may need surgery, including:

  • shoulder (brachial plexus) injuries
  • upper and lower extremity injuries
  • and other peripheral nerve injuries that may need surgery

Patients are seen by a physiatrist to have electromyography (EMG) studies on the nerves that have been injured. After that, an appointment is made to see a plastic surgeon, neurosurgeon or orthopaedic surgeon. They will also have access to rehabilitation services at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital.

No fees for EMG or doctor's services but there may be a cost if devices like splints or braces are needed.
