Stroke Prevention Clinic

 Location: St. Mary's Hospital

The clinic is focused on early identification and prevention of strokes in clients who are at risk for a stroke or have had a stroke before.

Provides early assessment and intervention for patients with transient ischemic attack (TIA) and minor stroke focusing on:

  • lifestyle changes
  • treating vascular risk factors
  • diagnostic tests
  • education
  • pharmacotherapy
  • accelerated referrals to Neurosurgeon where appropriate
