Walk In Counselling Services

Provides single session counselling, screening and referral on a walk-in basis for people experiencing a range of emotional or mental health issues.

Provides a short-term counselling service, to help people make changes in their lives. Screening and referrals may also be completed to connect clients with additional services.

Sometimes people feel overwhelmed, aren't sure what to do, and need more than a friend to talk to.

Counsellor's use a team approach and focus on helping people make changes in their lives by learning what their strengths are and using them.

Reasons for needing this support may include:

  • stress
  • grieving
  • parenting
  • relationships
  • depression
  • anxiety

Confidential counselling sessions are 50 minutes.

If appropriate, people are provided information on other addiction and/or mental health services.

Note

Please note, due to COVID-19 guidelines, all sessions are pre-booked. Please call between 8:00 AM and 2:30 PM to book a same-day single session.

To book a same-day session, residents can call between the hours of 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM on Thursdays for both adult services and child & youth services.

Single-session walk-in clinic for adults is available on Thursdays between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM with cut-off times for arrival at 10:45 AM and 3:00 PM.

The Child and Youth walk-in services at the clinic are available on Thursdays between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM, and in the afternoons from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM.


Wait time varies. Clients in crisis are seen on a priority basis
