Pediatric Neurology

Evaluates, consults and manages disorders of the central or peripheral nervous systems.

Pediatric Neurosciences (nerves, nervous system, brain) evaluates, consults and manages infants, children and adolescents with disorders of the central or peripheral nervous systems. Provides a neurological assessment to identify disorders in major categories such as:

  • epilepsy and seizures including epilepsy surgery
  • headache and migraine
  • neuromuscular disease (muscle disease and movement disorders)
  • developmental delay
  • brain tumors
  • dysautonomia
  • demyelinating disorder

Diagnostic approaches may include short-term and long-term inpatient video-EEG monitoring, functional neuroimaging such as CT and MRI scans, neuropsychological assessments, evoked potentials (test of nerve conduction), genetic testing, EEG and other monitoring.
