Movement Assessment Centre, C.H. Riddell

Provides movement assessments using motion analysis technologies for clients with complex musculoskeletal, neurological or mobility issues.

Assesses and measures an individual's movement (typically walking) using a variety of motion analysis technologies including motion capture and high speed video (frequently referred to as clinical gait analysis). Interpretation of motion analysis data is used to:

  • assist in clinical decision making
  • quantify the effects of an intervention

Clients may have various underlying diagnoses including cerebral palsy, stroke, brain injury or other
neurological or muscular problem that results in complex gait and movement patterns requiring advanced assessment technologies.

Assessment and recommendations require specific and measureable clinical questions that are best-answered by motion analysis.
