Specialty Program - Complex Respiratory Unit

A Long-Term Care Complex Respiratory / Ventilation program offering a home like environment and specialized care for adults (>18yrs of age) who require chronic ventilation support and/or management of their complex respiratory health challenges.

The Long-Term Care unit provides 24-hour care in a home like environment for individuals who require complex venitlation support. This support may include the use of invasive (or noninvasive) ventilator supports (Bi-PAP, C-PAP, etc). Unit services include:

  • a person centered care approach with individualized care plans designed by the resident, family members, and the interdisciplinary team
  • registered respiratory therapist support 24 / 7
  • equipment and alarms systems that promote a home like, less institutionalized, residential environment
